Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Indexed and how it works.

What is Indexed?

Indexed monitors whether your web pages are indexed in Google Search. Add your URLs, and we'll check their index status using real Google data so you can track changes over time and get alerted when something drops.

What do the index statuses mean?

Indexed — The URL appears in Google Search results.

Not indexed — The URL was not found in Google's index. Google may not have crawled it yet, or it may have been removed.

Domain not indexed — The entire domain is absent from Google's index, which could indicate a site-wide issue.

How much does it cost?

Indexed uses a credit-based system with no subscriptions or monthly fees. Each index check costs one credit. You get 50 free credits when you sign up, and you can buy more in bulk at any time. Credits never expire.

Can I schedule automatic checks?

Yes. Each project has a scheduling option that lets you automatically re-check all pages at a regular interval. Scheduled checks consume one credit per page, per run.

How do email notifications work?

You can choose to receive notifications instantly, daily, weekly, or biweekly. You can also filter notifications to only alert you about specific changes — for example, only when a page gets de-indexed. Configure this in Settings.

Can I check pages in bulk?

Yes. You can add multiple URLs at once using the bulk import feature inside any project. You can also trigger a "Check All" to re-check every page in a project with one click.

How accurate are the results?

Results are sourced from professional SEO data providers. While highly reliable, index data is a snapshot in time and may not reflect real-time changes Google is making. We recommend using Indexed as a monitoring tool alongside Google Search Console.

Do credits expire?

No. Once purchased, credits stay in your account indefinitely until you use them.

Can I get a refund?

All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. Since credits never expire, there's no risk of losing your purchase.

What are indexer integrations?

Indexed lets you connect a third-party indexing service to submit your URLs for faster Google indexing. Once connected, you can send pages directly to the indexer from any project's pages view with one click.

Which indexer services are supported?

We currently support Links Indexer, Omega Indexer, Rapid URL Indexer, Indexceptional, Sinbyte, and SpeedLinks. You can connect any of these in the Indexer section of your dashboard.

How do I set up an indexer integration?

Go to the Indexer page in your dashboard, select your service provider, and enter your API key. You can optionally set a project name and configure drip feed to spread submissions over multiple days. Your API key is stored encrypted.

Does submitting to an indexer cost credits?

No. Submitting URLs to a third-party indexer does not consume Indexed credits. However, the indexer service itself may have its own pricing — check with your provider for their rates.

Is there an API?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. For now, all features are available through the web dashboard.
